Gear Swapping?

hello,

I found a set of axels (straight front) with 5.29 gearing and lockers front and back. My truck and 4runner are both IFS though and I dont want to just yet do a SAS on either of them till i get the rest of what i want to do done. Is it possible to swap the front gears in simply from the 5.29's solid front into a IFS front?

Oh ya, the 5.29's are from an 85 toy 4runner and mine are 87 4runner and 88 pickup.

SAS is the only way. Totally different ring and pinion in the front IFS diff then in the solid.
