I'm getting some 4.88 gears for my truck...(22re engine) I have 33's ...Will it suck driving on the highway? will my rpm's run too high? I want to be able to run at least 75 safely. oh yeah, does anyone have any pictures or illustrations of where to weld to lincoln lock the spyder gears?

I got 33's and 4.88's are a little higher rpms than stock, with my 33's generic AT's the speedo is off by about 2-3 mph at 70. So at 70 im going like 68. At 70 on a stock 4.10 28" tires you rpms are right on 3000rpms. Your rpms will be the same at your speedos reading only you will be going slightly slower. At 75 on my speedo Im pushing 3400rpms. I do alot of highway drvn and I like to keep the rpms undr 3000. Id git the 4.88s if you plan to git 35 tires eventually otherwise if you plan to nvr git bigger than 33's and do alot of highway go with 4.56's. Also if you want to git a cheap whole front end with 4.88s(100$) used contact tap recycling. They usually have some from trucks that already had them factory. You can even git the rear diff cheap too if they have them.

I wouldn't buy used gears......if I understoood your last statement.........it sure would suck if you installed them , and they were bad, etc...
