Best price I have seen for a "set-up" 3rd member. Randy's Ring and Pinion. I have not used them. So I don't know their quality. But, as usual, you hear about the bad guys and you here about the outstanding guys. No news is good news here. I'd still be worried about the front end too though.. Any idea who'd set up the 5.29's in the first place?
PS EVERYONE: He's in BattleGround Washinton. Anyone know an installer out there???
PPS: You can go back and modify your threads. Doesn't matter now. #nosmileys

I've had real good experience with Randy's ring and Pinion especially since I live 10mins from their east coast warehouse. Definately have someone knowledgeable do it this time. It will be worth it when the gears don't burn up. Prices depend on which set you get and if your using a locker and such. If your going to buy a third member to drop in, consider having a locker installed as well. It doesn't add to the labor much and it is a better value.
Ring and pinion setup kits aren't too expensive but you might check for a local mechanic that can do it and buy the parts for you. Mechanics tend to not like people bringing in parts for them to use. Kinda like taking your own steak to a restuarant.

What kind of driving you do on road and off? Do you need a locker or want a locker? I'll tell ya, Randy's price for a set 3rd member w/detroit locker is sweeeeet.

i just checked up on randys and there is one in everett, thats not too far but they quoted me $216.77 for just the ring and pinion and for the whole 3rd member it was $403.04........ thats not too bad but 4wheel parts quoted me $129 but there is none in stock

4 wheel parts also installs crap gears. i wouldnt trust their set up with their gears in a golf cart let alone a 4x4. my buddy went thru 3 Genuine R&Ps in a year.
