I've had the All Pro e-brake for about 3-4 years now. I haven't had any problems with it's performance. I did have to grind one of the bolt holes on the bracket so the hole would line up right with the bolt hole on my T-case. As far as the brake pads, they should last a long time unless you plan on driving with it on. My disc and pads still look like new.

Makes sense those pads shouldn't wear out cause it's only used for parking. I'm not sure if you got a BL on your truck or not but do you think there's enough clearance for that disk under my 84 with no BL? Thanks for the reply's

www.bigrocksoffroad.com/Brake%20Upgrades.htmIm going to order mine from them partly becuase its 100 bucks cheaper. It is all pro's kit, but all pro requires you to buy the caliper and pads seperatly and with bigrocks you get everything needed.

I do have a 3" BL and have about 3-3.5" of clearance above the rotor. It may be real close w/o a BL, although I think you should be ok cuz I did lift my T-case/Trans up some, but don't remember how much. Before you order it you could call and ask them about it just to make sure.
As far as All Pros and Big Rocks kits they are the same price and All Pros kit comes with everything you need. You may have miss understood their add when you read it, but the caliper and rotor are available separately for those interested in building their own setup. Just FYI.

I noticed that it said you have to re-drill the holes on the rotor for earlier trucks. I wonder if that means I have to take it to a machine shop to have it done exactly right, or can I do it at home with my drill press. I assume the rotor becomes the new mounting point for the driveshaft, and any error would translate into an imbalance at speed. Seems like if the bolt hole size is the only difference between the years, I could make the holes on the driveshaft bigger without fear of getting it off-center.
