gear question

i see on all these toyota sites how say like a set of yukon gears for my truck are 229.00$....is that for the front and rear or just one set....i havnt found a single site yet that specifies wheather im buying gears for the front and rear or if im just buying 1 ring and pinion...

That would typically be the price for ONE R&P set (front or rear), not including installation.

On 85 and earlier trucks it's the same gear set (8") front or rear, on an 86+ (IFS) truck the front is a 7.5" and the rear is the standard 8".
