Some people over here (uk)claim that THE 5 speed box is weak and breaks easy .Me ,i aint convinced im running 35" tyres and a v8 and give it plenty of stick and had no probs with the box what so ever,a couple of bust diffs though .Can someone set the record straight please?also whats stronger 4 or 5 speed? thanks...

if it had a v6 its an r150 which is pretty strong. the 5 speed is stronger then the 4 speed. i woudlnt run either behind a v8 i would use a nv4500 or an old truck 4 speed like sm465

The R150F (V6 and 22RTE) is stronger than the R151F (22RE), which is stronger than the W56 series (22RE), which is stronger than the G series (22R), which is stronger than the L series (22R and 20R).
;D
I'd dump the 5 spd for an auto behind the V8 any day.
