Hi there I have some 16" mags for my truck and wanted to put some 265/75/16 tires on it (works out to be about 32 x 10.5). Would this be okay with my stock gears? (im assuming there 4.10's) or should i just stick with the 265/70/16? (about 31 x 10.5). Im not planning to do alot of heavy pulling. Maybe a light trailer with a couple dirtbikes or quads on it. I dont have a huge lift planned for the future, maybe another couple inches for the body. And for the trail i always got 4Lo. But i doubt i would go on the trail with the mags thats what my mudders are for! What do you guys think? Thanx
Update: -i also will be purchasing a header and possibly a camshaft (if the camshafts are any good) from LC for it in the very near future as i heard these, especcially the header, help alot

Shouldn't be that big of a deal for it. According to your signature, you're already running 31s, 32s aren't going to make that big of a difference.

Get a Doug Thorley header from the cheapest place you can find it and the cam from engnbldr.com

Are those good quality? I thought LC or pacesetter would be the best.
Update: on the doug thorley website there are only two headers availiable for my truck and it says that niether will fit a 5 speed with a hydrolic clutch

I'm fairly sure the LC header is a reboxed DT. DT has made a header for 22R/RE equipped Toyota trucks for years, and 90% of them are 5spds, so I don't understand that.

... anyway but you figure i can run 32's with stock gearing? thanks again No problem, people run 33's w/ 22R's (less HP than 22RE) all the time. Slight loss of power may be noticed but not enough to worry about. So w/32's it's even better.

I agree it should do fine. I run 33's on my truck with a 22r, just dont use 5th gear as much as I used to. Some of my friends run 35's, and one of them runs 37's with stock gears and a 20r Somehow he gets around, so yeah, 32's should be no problem ;D

i just went to engine builder and for 81-84 he has 2 camshafts a 261 and a 268 degree cam, the 261 is called crawler. what are these degree #s and how do they differ from a stock toyota cam?
