i want to run some 36/13.50's after i get a suspension lift. i have the 3.0 extra cab and i'm confused on the whole re-gearing situation. i have a buddy that can do the install. but i'm seeking help on what size gears to run. i'll be going offroad as well as daily driver.

how would 35 12.5's work on the street with 5.29's. i'll be taking it offroad, the only reason i am looking to do ifs is i can do it all by myself. where as with straight axle i would need a little more help with the welding. thanks guys

5.29 gears will be fine with 35 or 36" tires. The issue is will the IFS handle it. On road, if you're easy on it, yes. Off road, if you're really easy on it, for a while. And still expect to break a front axle shaft or 2. Get some spare axle shafts and learn how to replace them in the field, and you'll do better.
