Just finished installing 5.29 gears and lockrites front and rear ,totally rebuilt both axles .Tried it out on the road for a quick test ,first in 2wd it felt fine then put it in to 4wd felt ok till i tried to turn then it was fun, it felt hard to turn and very jerkey ,id heard that it would feel like this but dident quite expect it to be so harsh i now presume this is normal when running on the road on tarmac (asphalt) whitch i know your not supposed to do.im running a 1988 hilux v8 with simex 35 "extreme trecker tyres these are very aggresive .Any feed back please..not tried them off road yet...

Tried out off road and the diferance is amazing ,gives you mutch more traction and mixed with new 5.29s you can climb with out hammering THE THROTLE.lots more slow control.the lockers take you farther .IN fact so mutch so managed to roll it.well it had to happen sometime.a few scratches ,rolled it back over and carried on.Full roll cage, buckets and harness saved any major damage.GET LOCKED

how would being locked front and rear do when in the snow for a DD with manual hubs? going up/down hills and either turning up or down a side road? i was going to go with softlock rear tru trac front but now that since eaton seemed to have bought them out the prices are crazy...so was thinking aussie front to back
