92 push button and my 84 runner questions

I have an 84 4runner and want to put a dual case in it, now I found a 92 surf/4runner with a push button t-case. my question is:

Can I put a dual t-case adapter kit on my old t-case front and use the complete push button t-case one off the 92?
It looks possible but I'm not sure.

note my 84 4runner is a 2.4 Diesel and the 92 was a 2.4 Turbo Diesel.

I would think so, but not fully sure. The best way to find out for sure is to call Marlin Crawler (or who ever you plan on getting the adapter from) and ask them.
