If you have previously done this or have experience in doing it please let me know. I have a brand new ring and pinion (4.88 gears) for the front and rear solid axles (85 toyota SR5). I have minor installation kits but will also be purcasing the bearings seperately.
I will be doing this project myself. I have the FSM and a whole shop full of tools as I am a mechanic in the military but I have never installed a set of differential gears before. So any help or good little tricks that are not included in the FSM would be greatly appreciated.
Just want to kind of get some feed back so I dont get in over my head.

West cost differentials has excellent instructions on installing your own gears. www.differentials.com/install.html Sounds like you have all the skills and tools needed to get the job done.
