THats the setup most people go with. But with the spool in the rear the tires will wear more, and wil bark around corners. You will need to upgrade to chromoly birfs in the front those are around $700. Thats the only reason why I am still open in the front. But with just the rear locked and lots of flex my ris is really impresive.

Totally depends on what you wheel and how you wheel. I wheeled for several years in the rocks with a locker and stock birfs. You just use your brain a little instead of your foot on the gas. Don't do anything stupid and stock willl be good for the most part. But 30 spline Longs do take out the worry ;D

Thats the way I wheel now. Slow and steady. I think thats why I havnt broke anything yet well besides a stock front shackel. HMMMMM maybe a locker in the front in the near future.

This truck is obviously SAS'd? Ive always broken more parts in the mud and snow, where throttle, wheel speed and momentum keep you moving. On the rocks as slow as possible has always worked best for me. But i have seen footage of Chris Durham in competetion and can see that not everyone has the same approach. www.youtube.com/watch?v=foEpq4cvuu0

I know the spool makes your tires bark around corners and can make it loose in the gravel. But is there anything else that it wears on a lot besides the tires?
