i am confused like usual, i have 81 --- 22r--- did i read all pro`s web page correctly, do u want to put a 3rd member with gears built for a v6 in the rear and front or niether, because it seems to me that they suggested it , or maybe i am reading it wrong,

I've been under the impression that only the v-6 one's were wider I did know that the ifs one's are wider than the SA one,s.But that the v-6 one's were a little wider than them.Damn I wasted my money on a v-6 rear because I already had a ifs 4cyl rear and at a glance the v-6 one "appeared" to be a litlle bit wider.But I never actually got the tape measure out.Thanks for clearing me up on that.

ok foward1 u made a hit on what i was talking about, so u can use a v6 3rd member in a 1981 4 cyl. rear housing, i did read all pro correct. and all pro mentioned going to a high pinion 3rd up front, not looking for more width that some offset wheels could offer, so i figured i would stay with the stock housings, mostly flat mud fields-------the delta bottoms. no rocks here maybe a ditch or two

yes you can put a v6 third in a 4 banger housing and they are stronger

thats what i thought i read, what about the front is it the same on a high pinion, in other words high pinion v6 3rd in a 4cyl front housing. and all of this i will be using as dd

Yup, high pinion bolts right in. Its actually stronger then the stock set up when used in the front.

IDK im thinking the land cruisers had them but idk which if ne toyota trucks had them...but u can buy them or just a housing about ne where
