When I accelerate in my T100 , I have a strange spuddering sound. It doesnt effect the way my truck runs. But when in the lower gears 1,2,3 theres a strange sound when I accelerate. When im in idle and rev the engine I do not hear the noise. I looked under neath the truck and saw the my heat shield is burn away a little bit. Thats the only thing I could find that could be possibly making that noise.
Any help on this issue is very appeciated. Thanks

exhaust leak in your manifold maybe...run your engine and see if you can see any exhaust coming out from you manifold, or header.

its probably your heat sheild attached to the cross over pipe on the exhuast manifold. Most likely it is ethier cracked or lose. I had the same problem on my 97 t100, the only thing you can do is etheir get a new cross over pipe or put on a set of headers.

Mine did/is doing the same. I've slowly torn pieces off of the side heat shields. I'm about to get the PB Blast and an extension cord for my dremel and get rid of them all together.

hey i found out the problem..it is the heat shield on the manifold it was cracked and now i just tore it off....i don't see why i'd have to buy a set of headers to fix this...don't get me wrong i'd love too but that 's money i don't have...thanks guys..
