I have an 05 Tundra Quad and am finding out that they are very limited to the work that can be done to them. I have come to this site because I have not had very good luck with finding anything on the internet or having luck with the local garage that did the work already. I am re asking this question again because I did not have much luck. I just had a lift done with donahoe coilovers on the front and add a leafs on the back. The shop that put this on told me I could run 35” tires with this lift. Originally he told me I would get about 4” of lift, I was lucky to get 2.5”. What makes me so mad is that now my back spacing is so screwed up I don’t have very many choices of rims and I would be lucky if I could put 33” on it. I have seen that you can stack lifts (Tuff Country) but the problem is that this is an 05 and I cant find anything available out there. There isn’t even a body lift yet (not that I want to go that route) anyone have any suggestions or am I stuck with a truck that I could have spent $300 on a leveling kit and gotten the same results for a few thousand less and maintained a better ride, it is hardly worth lifting this thing and having it drive like a lifted truck when all that really was done was leveled out a little Thank you

wait a few months or be ready to pay some serious coin for a custom lift. the aftermarket is prolly a few months behind the production of the trucks.

More expensive than the Total Chaos upper control arms and Donahoe racing coilovers that I have on right now? Well I hope it gets my truck up higher than that stuff did because that was a major disappointment, this was supposed to be almost 4"s of lift and it barely lifted the truck 2.5" in the front. Either the tech was pulling my leg so I would buy this stuff or the people from fab tech missinformed him.

i was thinkin more of the lines of all new control arms, all steering and cvs. have u cranked the coilovers to the max, thought about a different spring rate. SAS is a possibility but doubtfull. have u thought about any custom drop down brackets at all?

From what I have read these coil overs are cranked way too much to begin with. I read somewhere that 2” is fine but if you go to the max 2.5” that it can cause premature wear on the CV joints. He has been talking about stacking a Tuff Country Lift on top of this but he told me that he is still waiting for them to make a part(cant remember what it was)
The upper control arms are Total chaos. They were the ones who told this tech (or so he says) that 35” would fit. The guy who did this lift told me that if I replace the lower control arms also ($1500) That I would get another inch. Going off of the work he as already done I would guess a Quarter to a half of an inch.
