tailgate

hey guys,
I have a 2000 tundra. I was wondering if a tailgate off of a std. cab 2006 tundra would fit. they look the same in pictures but pictures are not the greatest and unknown measurements. Any suggestions. thanks.

If you have the later production 2000 tundra it will fit. They used the same tailgate from 08 of 2000 thru '06 part # 65700-0C021 If you have the earlier production you'll have to find one from that year.

alright... thanks for the info. do you know what is different on the older ones. like is it something I can reweld new hinges on or is it not worth it?

I'm not sure the schematics don't show anything they just use a general picture and without any description of any kind.
