Whoops, hit some wierd key and messed that one up...anyways...
I'm looking at buying an FJ 60 and need some advice. I've had a 'thing' for LC's for a while, and finally found one in good shape that I can afford. My question is, how bad is this truck for a daily driver, especially on the interstate? I've "heard tale" of 18-19mpg on the highway, first of all, is this true, and second of all, is that at 45 mph? I love these trucks and it suits me well all except for the gas mileage issue. I don't see that as a reason to turn down a good truck... Will

Willy, I had a FJ-60 LC and loved it. The engine is very durable. The only thing about having one for a daily driver is that the engine lacks good horsepower for some people to drive on the interstate. Me I don't really care about going that fast if i like what I am driving. The gas mileage isn't great for the inline 6 either. My carbed 2F got around 15 mpg but it had super swampers on it so I'm sure that didn't help. So if you want a car to get good gas mileage, find a honda. But if you want a classic vehicle with a few drawbacks to daily driving, then the LC is for you. Hope this helps.

Thanks snorkleman. That does help. That's how I feel too, although my dad tells me I'm crazy. Although, he did used to have an FJ 40 then a 62, and he always talks about how he misses 'em. Maybe he's jealous... will

they make 3 cyl. geo's? I'd get a TDI VW though...my moms jetta wagon get's 50 or so on the highway, and diesel is cheaper.
