i got a 1985 toyota solid axle about a year ago so i coudl get it nice so i can go 4wheelin the day i get my lisnce (2 months) i just found out i got a blown head gasket and maybe some other stuff broken but wont know untill they open it up. i pretty much know what i want for my truck but have simple questions like will i need longer drive shaft with all pro 4inch suspension lift and new gears right awawy to power my 35inch tires. I have new questions all the time and will need a lot of help

With a 4" susp lift you'll probably need longer drive shafts. You won't know for sure until you have it put together.
With 35" tires and stock 4.10 gears you'll have very little power. Completely forget about 5th, get used to 3rd. Bottom line, you''l want to regear to 4.88, maybe even 5.29.
