Hello everyone, I just found this cool website. We ( me and my wife) bought our first 4runner in DEC 2003. It's a 04 SR5 V6. We love it. Mostly the 3rd row sitting since we've got 2.5 children. Oh the engine, the suspension, the ride, in a nut shell it is excellent no doubt. I do not plan to use this as my offroad rig at this moment. Maybe some time in the future when my other offroad rig dies. Welp, glad to be here ;D

My other rig is a 2001 Xterra SE, with Dana44 + OX locker front end and 35X12.50 R15 tires. Rear is a regular stock Solid Axle with LSD. Rear Gear ratio is 4.90 and front is 4:89. I don't have any plan to turn the runner into my offroad rig in near future simply because it's a great family truck (Not mummy SUV). Especially my wife loves it because of its height. My X is about 4' tall from the ground. However, I plan on some very very mild offroad with the runner. ;D. Thanks for asking.

I appreciate the generosity and open mindness. That kind of manner is almost obsolete these days. Following are the links, as you have requested, when the truck was under construction (it is NOT 56K friendly): home.comcast.net/~gaffarr/005_4.JPGhome.comcast.net/~gaffarr/002_1.JPGRecently i haven't been able to get around to do any wheeling and or pictures. I can post some more once they become available. So enough on my "other" truck. Let's talk about the 4runner. I love it! especailly because of its power. It is not like the wimpy xterra. I have gathered some questions, I'd greatly appreciate if some one can answer them for me. What Axles (Name + type) the new (2004) 4runner has? Are their any after market lockers that can be installed? Any T-case upgrades available for the new 4runner? Are the drive shafts slip yoked or some thing else? I know there are some lift kits available, what is the biggest size tires that can be installed? And how does the truck behaves? Do you need to upgrade the gears for that? What is the gear ratio for the new 4runner? Tha'd be all for now. Again, I greatly appreciate the info. -regards BTW: You can read more about Nissan Community on Solid Axles here: www.nissanoffroad.net/messageboard/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=11416&whichpage=1if you are interesred.
