Hey there. I live in Oregon right at the bottom of the coastal range. Don't be fooled by my name, I do have a couple of samurai's and have found them to be capeable trail rigs, but there is nothing like a toyota ;D. I have two toyota's right now. One 1982 with 5.29's locked front and rear, and 33" boggers for now. I also have a 1981 with 5.29's front and rear and 36" tsl/sx's. They both do a decent job of getting around for what they are, but I really want to make them very capeable. I figured this looked like a good place to get some ideas and possibly advice on what direction to go on these things. If anyone is anywhere around my area, I am always looking for someone go wheel'n with. Here is a picture or two. Sorry about the samurai cluttering up the one picture lol.

Those are some nice looking trucks. I wish the body on mine was that nice when i started out haha. Oh and Ive been wondering this for a long time did those side mirrors come from the factory? Mine never had one like that and mine is an 82 too. Mine has little black plastic ones and my dads 80 has the little plastic ones too but on some others I have seen they have the big chrome ones. No real point for the question Im just wondering. These are my mirrors.

I think that I have owned six toyota's and all of them started out with those mirrors. They haven't always lasted very long though. The sami's are usually light, but that one has a 350/th350/205 and is getting toyota front and rears with 32 spline longs. It is kind of a tank now though. Thanks for the welcome.
