I have been on the site since January, but rarely post and decided I should introduce myself.
I own a Black 1990 Extended Cab SR-5 V-6 automatic 4x4. No pics to post yet but I will soon. So for now I will try and describe it as best as possible. I apologize in advance for such a long post. :shootme:
4" suspension, 3" body, 37" Super Swamper's, 16" wheels, 5.29 gears, Borla exhaust, K&N filter, Bushwhacker's, Billet grille, Tinted Headlight and taillight covers, Linex liquid bedliner, Nerf bars, 11 speakers, 2 amps, alarm with auto start etc.
I purchased the truck in February of this year, it was an Arizona truck so no rust (but a lot of rock chips and dings). I always wanted a Toyota 4x4 so I seized the opportunity.
I tend to be a perfectionist so I purchased every exterior piece brand new from Toyota (front corner lights with chrome bezels, chrome headlight bezels, front and rear chrome bumpers, lower front bumper valance, bumper lights, taillights, chrome and rubber windshield trim, chrome door handles, door window exterior trim, chrome mirrors, tailgate, chrome tailgate handle, rock guard bed protectors, windshield washer squirter's and even the three black bolt covers that you find on each rear extended cab window.
After ordering all the new exterior parts I decided to order the bushwhackers, Nerf bars, headlight and taillight covers plus billet grille and antennae and new sliding rear window and 6 new shocks. Once all the parts were in hand the truck was delivered to a friend of mine that paints automobiles for a living.
The truck was disassembled completely. The bed, bumpers, grille, hood, mirrors, door handles, quarter windows, trim, basically any and everything but the doors were removed.
The dings were pulled the truck was sanded, primered and shot. he then baked it and proceeded in wet-sanding the entire truck. Reassembled and delivered the truck to me two weeks later.
I absolutely love the truck and get a lot of compliments on it, nothing like driving a 15 year old vehicle and having people ask me if the lift and tires voided my warranty you should see the look on their faces when I tell them it is 15 years old.
Now I need to take this thing through the mud, about all we have in Nebraska, definitely no hills to speak of. I will be posting pics as soon as I can.
