I just got my close to stock 1987 4runner a couple of weeks ago. The only thing that has been done to it is a 3-4in body lift and 31" tires. It has the trusty but slow 22re. The only mods I have done so far is replace the front buckets with newer integra cloth seats that are much nicer. The interior is pretty much stock and I am thinking about maybe removing the carpet and doing a spray bed liner inside. The backseat heater core went out maybe 3 days after I bought it and it leaked antifreeze all over the back seat carpet. So far I have taken the rig out a couple of times to do some wheeling and it has done a great job. My mods I have planned for it are 33" BFG MTRs, full exhaust with a thorey header and flowmaster, and an aussie lock in the rear. I should be getting the tires next week and everything else in about a month. The main reason I am going for the whole exhaust is because it has a leak and flowmasters sound so good. If you guys have any other ideas for mods let me know. Thanks

WELCOME to TOR! It looks like you have a solid buildable rig and from what I read you get the mods done you'll be having even more fun with it. So far my only suggestion is about doing the bedliner inside is if you play in mud some of the liner jobs leave a lot of crevis' and tend to trap the mud and it doesn't clean out very well. I was going to do this as well until I saw a rig with it and the guy showed me what was happening to him and he swears it's the worst thing he had done to his truck.BTW I'm still thinking about it.
