I just sold my 89 Trooper and purchased a 1990 2dr 4Runner, which took me over two years to find. The Runner has a V6 & manual transand 155,000 miles. It has original paint and never been hit. I don't see any dings or scrapes on the under side guards, so it may have never been off road beyond a dirt road. I am the 4th owner. It was purchased ibn CA, went to AZ, went to NC, and back to AZ. No rust. There are some maintenance items that were neglected. Looks like some back yard mechanic tried to pack the front wheel bearings with out the 54mm socket (chisel marks pn the lock nuts). Not sure how you get the correct adjustment on the bearings that way. I go off road about 3 times a year in AZ & Colorado. Has anyone ever seen the factory flares for the 2nd gen 4runners? Would love to hear from you.
