i have a 79 dodge adventure pickup 360 v8, 3spd auto towing gears, used to have a fifth wheel trailer in back, but now just a 8ft bed, extended cab, its 2wd, underneath is a dana 80 full floater, how strong is this rear axle, and would it be to big for a swap on a toyota truck. and if its to big, how much would it be worth to sell?

I've never hear of a dana 80 in something that old. Strong, well yeah of course. Huge ring gear equals big strength, and a huge diff to drag over obstacles. I would'nt consider an 80 on any rig running less then 44's.

there are very common on lots of old heavy duty trucks. lots of dodges, fords, and chevys with a fifth wheel hook-up, 3/4 ton option, or 1 ton and jeep kaiser m175 had them front and rear
