Hello all,

Just got the vehicle I've wanted for a long time. I'm from Virginia and have been out here for a few years now. A lot of nice old toyotas out here.

I just bought this ol truck and am enjoying it. 1981 SR5 with a 6" lift - i think and 33s.

I pretty much would like to keep it as is and possibly restore it. I'm enjoying how easy these are to work on - very nice vehicle.

Only compalint is it is a very firm ride, but my back is getting used to it. I like to head down to the back roads around Big Sur and camp in the back of this thing.

Any way - awesome site. Glad I found it.

WELCOME & glad you found our site!! I really like the bed set-up that looks pretty comfortable for camping. Where in VA are you located ? I'm from Bristol TN/VA

thanks - I was from the Richmond area - just north of there near Kings Dominion.

I'm now out on the other side of the nation.


I picked up the camping kit off of cragslist and it is great for sleeping in. It has cases on the sides for tools and supplies and you can stor things undernesth the bed.
