Picking up my 89 4runner tomorrow. Cant wait to jack it up and move on from building cars... I'm located in central jersey near the shore and know a few trails around here if anyones eve interested. The truck is pretty decent. New clutch and 4 wheel drive installed. Only thing I could see wrong was the little rust on the fenders (nothing a sawzall and over fenders cant fix). The truck is a 5 speed stick, v6, and has fold down rear seats. I am wondering if this is the SR5 version and if thats good or bad...? I know that the downfall to the year 4runner I'm picking up is the independant front suspension but how much of a problem is that? I have plans for 4" of suspension 2" of body and 35" boggers. Any comments answers or just hellos are more than welcome. I'm moving to Toyota enthuesiasm(sp) from being a huge Chevy fan. Not going the gas guzzler route this time... PS anyone wanna buy a camaro in central jersey

WELCOME to the site! Always glad to have another one who has seen the light.lol I'm also an x-chevy/h**p guy and will never go back these rigs can take such a beating and still drive home. It seems like you have the right things in mind for playing in the Jersey mud pits. I'm only a half hr to 45min from you. I'm in the philly area. Unless your into serious rock crawling the IFS is just fine. It's my prefference for playing in the mud.
