Whats going on guys?! I have recently purchased a Toyota and decided to join the community. I have a 1993 Yota Pickup with only 84K on the engine. 4" Skyjacker suspension lift and 3" body lift. Right now im running 33x12.5x15 Mickey Thomsons but soon I will be getting some 38s to fit it better ;D. I do plan to drop a more powerful engine into it... such as a 355 Chevrolet small block. I'll put some pics up once I get a chance.

WELCOME to the site. It sounds like you got a hell of a deal on your yota. How do you like the Skyjacker springs?

There real nice. I like it a lot but I have some questions about my yota... I've been reading up on the breathers and ifs or solid axle. I love playing in the mud and Im not sure what one is best for the mud. And about my breather on my rear axle, it has a cap on it... does that mean that it cant breath? lol

If you plan on going to 38's then you're going to want to go for a SAS...the toyota IFS driveline will start failing fast and often with those large of tires.
Of course if you like working on your truck and throwing parts at it all the time then keep the IFS because it will generally work better in the mud. When you're playing in the mud the idea is to keep as much of the truck out of the mud as possible and with a solid axle it's a little harder to do then with the natural trapazoidal shape of IFS. I would say 35's are a pretty good max for IFS...
Also if you put a 350 in there plan to make other driveline upgrades...it will also be hard to fit that monster in the engine compartment...

Thanks for the advice... I'll most likely go with 35" or maybe 36" for now. The engine will be one of the major projects on this truck so it might have to wait a little bit. I also want to make my cab water-tight... Is there anything else I would need besides a snorkel and breather if I were to go in up to the hood?

If you intend on any deep mud/water you want to raise them higher by extending them with some flexible tubing up into the chassis/cab area.
