Welcome to TOR! Glad you found and joined our site. I'm digging your trail rig and would love to see some pics of the '82 long box ;D and would also like a better look at the flatbed set-up.

Sweet! The '82 looks cherry and I don't mean the color. I like the flatbed that's very close to what I've had in mind for one. Thanks for sharing the pics.

My 83 longbed was grey like your 80. I miss the look of the 1st gens.
But the Toyota factory rust package took it's toll, and now it sports a 2nd gen 2WD body and bed.

yeah thats what happened with the bed on my 80 rust took its toll. But my 82 stays in the shop when its not being driven its my baby. Got a 22/20 hybrid motor with offenhauser intake weber 38 bored 30 over, with a headman shorty header. It dynoed at 152 hp. wich i though was amazing for a yota.

Hey, first off welcome to TOR! Secondly, SWEEEEET F'N BED AND CAGE DUDE!!! I am currently majoring in Welding at Casper College and am fabbing up many a thing for my fabrication class. I am building a 6 point roll cage for the bed of 82 and am planning many other custom mods for it. Including a custom cut rear locker for the same rig. Is there any way I could get those dimensions from ya for them tube doors?

the tube doors are amazingly simple ill post a couple pics after i finish putting the plexy glass in them but the top straight tube is 36" long with a 1" notch in the end, the bottom tube is about three feet with a 90* bend in it. the vertical tube is like 16"(i think), and all i used to mount them was a pin for the latch and two pieces of 2x1/8 flat strap.
