Hi All!
I've owned a number of Toyota pickups over the years, but just recently got interested in making my current rig "better".
My current rig is a 1987 extra cab, 22R w/carb, 5 spd, 4X4. I purchased this truck about 5 years ago, when it had 129,000 miles on it. Early this spring, at about 200,000 miles, it was obvious that the engine was getting "tired". So, Now I have a freshly rebuilt engine with Kieth Black pistons, a mid-rang cam, Doug Thorley header, the new Weber/interco carb, 2 1/4" exhaust with free flow converter and muffler, overhauled tranny, all sitting on aluminum slots with 9.50-15 Big-O ATs. Whew! That was a mouthful.
The main reason I checked into this forum is that after breaking in the new engine, I had it dyno tuned, and was told that the engine "MIGHT" do better it I stepped up the ignition system a bit. I've been looking the the DUI (Davis Unified Ignition) since its a fairly simple swap, and the price isn't too far out. The truck runs great, and has a ton more power than it used to, but I find myself looking for ways to eeek a little more out of it.
Anybody here had any experience with this unit?

WELCOME to TOR! Glad to have another toy collector on board. Got any pics of your rig? How do like Keith Blacks parts? I've been using LCE for about 5years now and no complaints but alway want to know what else there is out on the market.
