I drive a 96 tacoma four banger. I make up for whats under the hood by overcompensating with the 6 inch fab tech and the 33's. I have had this rig for a while and its time to make it a toy. I want to drop a 305 into it but am clueless on what I'm getting my self into. I found this site and now I'm stoked. Hope to talk to you guys soon.

Welcome aboard. No need for overcompensating for whats under the hood, them little 4bangers are good engines. They may not be real fast, but they'll do their best to get you back home on two cylinders if they need too. And another thing, it was a Toy before it left the factory, it just wasn't a TOY, but you've got a good start on it so far with the 6" lift. ;D ;D
Have any other plans for it other then the engine?
As far as the engine goes, any reason for the choice of the 305? Just wondering. Also check out Advance Adapters. They might have what you need for connecting the 305 to you Toyota tranny. You also might need to up grade your gears to be able to handle the extra power.
