how yall doin, i have had several ifs toyotas, slap some 31x10.50 on em and just about go anywhere in a farm field or in the river bottoms, my last toy was a 87 that i had 4.56 auburn gears and a ezlocker in the rear, lunati cam ,header and the almighty tsl 31x10.50 , i was just about to put a SAS on it and a tornado put a 30` x 30` building on it, the twister tried to make a low rider out of it but a floor jack and a piece of 4x4 post got the top back up and bobbed the ass end and it was full time hunting , i sold it after a couple of years of hard driving [flooded fields and some bad ass gumbo mud ,the huntin thing-uno} and the guy is still driving it, but why cry over spilt mt.dew. but anyway i broke a guys horse for this basket case 1981 lwb and i want to do it up right , i have seen some of yalls toys and they look pretty damn good, i have never built one from the frame up but i am fixen too i will take some pics of it and put it on here when i get some , this is an awsome site

WELCOME to TOR! We're glad to hear you like this site and hope we can be helpful on your build-up.We def want to see some pics. ;D Are you going to try a different tire size this time around. ;D I would have loved to see a true redneck bobbed bed.lol That sucks about the tornado though. When I lived in TN we had one (little one) go right past the house within 20 ft but like I said it wasa very lo caliber and it only took out 3 or 4 apple trees and the soft part of the roof on my '73 Monte Carlo SC.

Welcome aboard. Sucks about the tornado, but good thing that it didn't turn it into a scrap pile.
So do you have an ideas on what you plan to do to the 81?

man sorry about being late on replying, on the redneck bobbing it was surely an eyecatcher , it looked like an urban assault veh. or a dirtdobber, depends on where u seen it at. i have got some pics of it when we was trailoring it to one of our duck holes [ill have to get it scanned but ill put it on here] ,and the only reason for putting it on a trailor was because 4 people would be kind of a tight squeeze for 60 miles, i just talked to the guy i sold it to the other day and its still a dd. as far as the 81 goes, im getting all my info together, thats what i love about this site, someone has tried it , and it can either work or u can get a vote sorda, but i would like to stay with about the same setup on my motor, just a couple of changes, 1 being a weber carb. i believe i had a 290 lunatti cam dont quote me on that, it was like just above stock without changing carbs and header, it had a sweet idle sounded like a little race engine ha ha. i was thinkin of all pros 71/2 inch lift with yukon 5.29 and Q`s tsl ,of course the high angle drive lines with v6 3rd member in rear and v6 high pinion 3rd member in front , i have not figured out what lockers i want yet or the steering situation but im getting there , oh yea --------no bed and its a long wheelbase frame i like all pros flat bed kit, it looks clean but i dont know if thy make one for a long wheel base
