In 1981 I had a choice, Toyota or Datsun. I chose, and still have the Datsun, but always wished I had gone Toyota. Move ahead to 2003, I hire a new farmhand, and buy him a '92 Toyota 4x4, man, I spent more time in his truck than my big Dodge. OK, move up to 2004, so I decide to get myself a little 4x4 to check cows in, go to the mountains, hunt & Fish, after all, the Datsun is beat to heck by now, Hey, look at this little Range Rover for 10K, WOW!, what a deal, NOT! For what I put into that rig, I could have had a nice M1 Abrahams Tank with money to spare for ammo. Last month, I traded the Rover for a new 2008 Tacoma Double Cab TRD Trail package 4x4. What a great little truck. ;D the first morning I had it home, I hauled a set of twin calves to the corrals, and hay to another cow. I've been up BlackSnake road to spot Elk and look for cows, and up Klicker mountain to the top and back, all in comfort and with !00% confidence that nothing was going to break or some light was going to come on telling me another electrical system had gone down. What a great truck. I can't wait to get it jacked up a bit and get some gumbos under it. Your Pal, Gene
