WELCOME to TOR!Glad you found our site.Normaly do a lot of wheeling but here of late I seem to be building them more than I get to drive them.Toyota engines well at least the 4cyl one's aren't that hard to build.(never worked on the 6cyl)I'm no mechanic as any of my friends will be very happy to tell you(because they are mechanics)I've built 2 motors now and I'm starting to get fairly good at it.Just go slow and double and triple check things over.If you need any help just ask your Q's in thecorrect forum and use the search feature and you should be able to get the help you need. btw We want pics of the runners ;D

Welcome to the board. Sounds like a good project starter. Any ideas or plans on what you'd like to do?

Not sure how to post pics on the site....so Ill try this, maybe it works.... 95 4runner: I tried to fix some rust last summer, and did a little 2tone kinda job with undercoating....gunna need to do something else this summer. I also have rear shocks n springs to raise the rear back up, just havent gotten to that yet.... 88 4runner For now I'm just worryin about rebuildin the 22re for the 88. I may be movin this summer, so depending on where it is to and financial situation we'll see what else we can do to them. Dan

Thanks for posting the pics. I love the older 4runners.I just bought a '86 from the original owner and it was serviced by her brother at the dealership I work at.Like yours the body and frame are in excellent condition and I just couldn't pass it by. When you need engine parts for the 22re check out LC Engineering,Paradise racing,Partznet.com(for OEM parts) just to name a few there are others and some are listed in the LINK section of this board.Keep us posted and we'll help with what ever we can.
