hey guys, I hope you guys can help me. last week i was driving down the interstate and all the front left lug nuts shredded right off..at first i thought i had a flat, so i got off the interstate and learned that my wheel was about to fall off, it grinded down my nice mickey thomson wheels. Now i am trying to figure out what went wrong and how to fix it...i have a sneaking suspision that it could be the ball bearing worn out because when i rock the left tire it pops...if u guys have any help!!!

if the lug nuts broke it was because they were loose.

Lug nuts demons haunting you??? Last year I almost got hit by a tire/wheel flying off a car going up the street in front of my house. It happens. I've got good vision, but when you aren't looking for a problem, you're not going to see it. The bearing damage ( and rod ends ) is likely from the front wheel visciously tearing itself apart. Sorry to hear of your misfortune, but lesson learned. Check tire pressure, check lugs, check lights. Stupid little things that'll kill you or someone else.

Sounds like the lug nuts were loose because your hub/wheel bearings would not cause it to shred off the lug nuts. The lug nuts were shreded off by them coming off and it bouncing around. It's happened to a few people I know and it sucks. Check your lug nuts everytime you check the air pressure.
