Here is a brief tutorial on installing non-factory seats in your rig. Do some research first on what might fit your truck. Then visit pull-a-part (or your buddies' vehicles) with a tape measure in hand to see what might work. The mid-90s Honda Civic seat brackets came within a quarter inch in width and depth of fitting perfectly, so a little hole worrying with a round file got them just right. Honda mounting bolts even work. here goes: Your truck mounting truss might have to be notched to make room for the adjustment rail. The outside tab might be too long for flush mounting. "Try/fit repeatedly" is the key phrase. Your angle grinder is your friend. Tab had to be trimmed 3/16ths inch to keep seat from leaning toward the inside. Keep a fistful of washers on hand for other shimming to get seats perfectly level. The seats are installed. These Honda Civic buckets are a bit taller than the factory bench. Your tape measure is your other best friend when you go to the junk yard to seek seats that might fit. Be patient. Here is the fish truck, with seats installed, in your standard poser photo.

All the Celicas at the B'ham Pull-a-Part were robbed of seats. I just measured until I found a good fit. These Honda seats really are helpful for foot work and steering wheel location. The bench seat with its worn out bottom - even with padding - caused me difficulty, especially with foot location.
