By looking at jeeps and my 85 Toyota it looks about the same frame width as well as the same width overall. Since j**p has a hell of a lot more aftermarket parts available than my 85 pickup, I was wondering if anyone knows if bumpers, seats and other interior components that are made for j**ps will fit into older Toyota 4x4's.
Just wondering if anyone has ever tried it before or knows if it can be done across certain model ranges or all together. Thanks.

And add Rockstomper, Sky Mfg, Downey Off road, North West Off Road, and Inch Worm to that list.
They all specialize in Toyota parts.

Well congratulations on not answering the questions. I am not new to Toyota's, I have seen every last Toyota site 100 times over but if you guys have not noticed that there are a hell of a lot more accessories for jeeps for interior products and such that are not available for older model Toyota's. Just wondering if anyone has every swapped products made for jeeps onto Toyota's.

Well thats nice. What do you mean by noob. Is that by your little message board standards. I mean do you have to be a veteran message board gang banger in order to be a veteran off road enthusiast. Or since I am rather new to the board does that not make my rig as capable as yours. Just kind of wondering how all the newbie stuff works. If that is the case I wont even worry about spending any more money on my truck, I will just get more experience on the forums so that I won't be a "noob" anymore and maybe that will help me on the trails.

Sure you can put anything in with the proper mods, They make alot of stuff for jeeps cause jeeps suck in first place and they have to make improvements on them to make them drivable. Noob-Telling someone they didn't answer your question when they did, there is alot of parts for toyotas I'd say as much as jeeps. Chehck out Rocky Mountain Suspension.

yeah, they do make a lot of stuff for Toyota's but jeep has a lot of real nice and appealing aftermarket products, especially for the interior and such. I was just kind of wondering so I threw the question out there to see. Thanks though for the info.

Anything can be made fit with some time and tools. I've got Integra seats in my beast. They fit pretty much perfectly as well. Just get the tape measure out and check stuff and see if its the same size.

Yeah, LC engineering has some real nice stuff; kind of expensive though. Its not that I want Jeep parts, they could have been mercury parts or Yugo parts for all I care. As long as they fit where I want them then I should be good to go.
What really sparked the question was that I see a lot of smittybilt front bumpers on Toyota trucks and as far as I have seen, smittybilt only makes front bumpers for jeeps unless I have been misinformed. Anyways thanks for all the info.

I'm not sure about the smittybilts being only for jeeps, I've never really looked into it. However it would be very easy to modify to put one in. Personally I hate how toyotas don't have cup holders so I'm working on an idea for my center console...

my 83 came with a Smitty built front bumper. It looked as if mounting points were made from some junk lying around and about 50lbs of welding wire. it was solid pushing but was scared to pull with it. it was also about 6 to 8" forward

My 82 longbed came with a smittybuilt front bumper and rear bumper set up to tow. little modification to the front but the rear looks like it just bolts up
