I bought a 99 Taco because I wanted a "4x4" to off road and sometimes pull my boat up a ramp. I had no idea what I was really getting into. Now I am at the point of de-constructing it to get what I want. I found a 82 Pickup, lifted, manual trans, 4cyl, with 33 inch tires and he wants 1400.00 or an Obo, and I don't know anything about musical instruments. But seriously, the body is in nice shape, (usual rust on bed) but not too much on body or frame but all in all pretty nice. I can't remember miles on it bit it looks good from what I can tell. I have pictures. Any Advice would be greatly appreciated. fishbone.....

Sounds like you got yourself a decent truck. Solid axle already lifted with 33's great building block...or boat puller

Nothing better in my mind than a solid axle mini truck. You had better have a very small boat if you plan to tow it with less than 100hp. If you have plenty of tools, a welder or a buddy with one, and lots of time on your hands that 82 could be made into something beautiful. If you do any climbing or plan to, you will not be happy with the carb vs fuel injection but it isn't anything an engine swap can't solve. Good luck!
