i have an 02 tacoma 4x4 3.4 v6 5 speed and i was wonderin if they make an overdrive for it. I have seen theese for full size dodges and they bolt on the back of the transmission. could i make this work for a 4 wheel drive or is this primarillyu a 2 wheel drive thing or is it a big truck thing i have looked but can not find anything simmilar to it for my taco. I recently move to tenn. but will have to make trips to and from mobile to visit family and i want to try and get better gas mileage then the 15-18 im getting now. i know regearing to help turn the 33's would help but even that would probally only get me to 20 22ish<optimisim) and i was hoping maybe to get just a lil more out of it am i just dreaming or is this possible

I have not seen anything out there for the smaller trucks.Like you I've only seen kits for full size trucks.There are a couple of things you can do to gain MPG's.One is to get rid of the clutch fan and replace it with an electric one.The other is to install a true cold air intake(K&N and the like do NOT qualify) Volair is the only true cold air intake other than installing a Safai Snorkle(that I'm awware of).These will help but without re-gearing your not going to be able to take full advantage of them.

i would definetly choose the Safari snorkle i just like the way they look but what do you think if i do the e-fan and the snorkle and the gears what kind of gas mileage do you think that i could pull out of my v6
