So my dad showed me this site today, and it looks legit. But I wasn't sure if it would do any harm to the engine? It costs about $50, and claims to double your gas mileage. www.drivewithwaterfuel.com/?hop=aman69let me know what you think. I'm thinking about getting it, and giving it a try... chad

well the thing about this system, is that there is no Hydrogen tank (no giant fuel source) as quick as the hydrogen is produced, it gets burned up in the engine...
I have the instructions, and will begin the building of it shortly. I will be sure to let you all know how it goes.

personally, I like the idea. I have done some research on this and other alternative fuel sources and hydrogen is the easiest and most affordable.
incidents such as the Hindenburg have put a foul taste on such technology but done correctly it is safe or safer than currently used fuels. if Hindenburg was full of petrol gas fumes the exact same thing would have occurred but folks would have a bad taste about petroleum.
just my two cents. -Greg

I also have a set of plans for one of these hydrogen generators and they are legit however there are two things that you have to worry about 1. when hydrogen burns the only exhaust it produces is water which speeds up the rusting process in your exhaust but with the sweat from condensation it will happen any way so your might want to think about stainless exhaust in the future if it will be long term. 2. long term metal to hydrogen exposure will cause hydrogen embritlment which causes the metal to crack very easy but they do sell a one time fuel additive that prevents this...I know several people that have already done this and have gained 7-10 mpg in full sized trucks... I am still in the construction phase of mine...also since there is only a small amount of hydrogen gas build-up there is no risk of explosion
