Just bought an 88 short bed that i'm building a wheeler/driver out of. I've already got an 85 truck to rob the axles from. Has any body used the rear leaves from a yota on the front of there truck. A buddy of mine says he did and it moves the axle forward 2 inches and flexes really well. I'm planning on using the 63 inch chevy springs on the rear.

Haven done the rear to front set-up yet. They will move the axle forward about 2" and just the moving the springs to the front, from what I've heard, won't flex well. You'll need to swap leaves around from another set of stock rear and/or other leaf springs.

I've been running rears-up-front for years. You must add more leaves to handle the weight. I'm up to 6 leaves in mine, and it's still a little too soft if it were a DD. But it's not, and it flexes like crazy. ;D
