When I shift into first gear I get a lot of vibration. It doesn't really feel like my steering, it feels more like vibration in my drivetrain, maybe in my drive shaft or something. I get the vibration in both 2WD and 4WD. It is only when i am shifting into first gear though.
Anyone have any ideas?

Is it only when you are actually shifting into 1st, or the whole time you're in 1st gear? Any specific RPM range?

Just when I am shifting into first. Once I am actually in gear, the vibration stops. I have tried to shift by giving it less gass, and then by giving it more but it still vibrates no matter what.

I vote that it's the clutch or transmission.

I found the problem today while I was rock crawling because it got worse. My center bearing on my drive shaft took a huge shit, so my drive shaft wobbles and vibrates, it is just worse in 1st gear then all the others. Now I am on a mission trying to find a center bearing for it but I cannot find any. Any help with that.
An you leave my transmission alone, I dont feel like spending money on that yet.

You could order a new carrier bearing from the dealer, or get a one piece shaft made. A junkyard may have an entire 2 piece shaft.

Who makes good one piece shafts? The only concern I had about the one piece shaft is that I assume that I would lose some ground clearance from it due to the longer angle, making it more likely for me to get my drive shaft a little love from the rocks.
