Hi Everybody. My name is Ryan, I just joined the forums. There seems to be plenty of knowledgeable people around here so hopefully you guys can help me out.
I have a 1985 Toyota Pickup 4WD 22R running 33s. I bought the truck in fair condition & she needs a lot of work. I just finished rebuilding the birfield joints, they were hemoraging grease - that was a fun job! The original springs were wrapped so I'm in the process of replacing the springs & shocks with a skyjacker 3" lift system and hydro shocks all the way around! I had to burn the rear springs off & melt some urethane on the fronts just to get them off - no big deal! I just finished putting the front end back together & I noticed with the suspension fully extended (I have the frame on jack stands and the front axle hanging by the springs) that the drag link hits the spring ubolts if I turn right past centerline. But if I jack up the front axle to approximate height where the tires would sit, everything clears by at least 1/4". So my question is: Is this something I have to worry about? If so, what is the quick fix. I'm not interested in converting to crossover steering at this point. I'm just trying to get the truck road worthy first! My last question is, do I need to extend the brake lines? As she sits right now, it doesn't look like it, but I could be missing something. Thanks! -Ryan

You are going to have to use either a crossover or a highsteer kit to fix your issue.
