If you're asking is it a direct bolt-in, the answer is no.

ok, what do i have to do to swap the cabs? Move all the body mounts except the 2 front ones. You might have to move those but I dont think so. I know the cab mounts are higher up on the frame on 1st gens then 2nd and 3rds. The 3rd gen cab is wider also and the harness is pretty much totally different. If your trying to swap on a X-cab you need the channel the floor in the cab, move all the mounts, remove and rebrace horsecollar on frame. Because of the lenght you would need to modify the rear cab mounts and depending on tire size more the rear axle back. Oh and if you have the stock drivetrain in the 1st gen now you would need to cut new holes for the shifters. It can be done but its a bunch of work.

well heres what im working with, its a 81 toyota pickup reg cab long bed with a custome flat bed. and it has stock toytoa axles, a 87carberated 22r, and a transmision and stransfer case out of a 92 toyota pickup. im not to worried about macking or movieing the body mounts i work at a machine shop, the only thing i see giving me a problem would be the steering and the wiering, i dont know if the steering shaft from the 81 will fit the 89-94 reg cab 2wd , and i dont no anything about the wiering on the 89-94 cab, exept that its got fuil enjection.

Make it fit you have both ends and are a machinist. You can do anything from mill flats in the 2 peices and make a sleeve with set's to welding the 2 together. Depends what YOU want to do.
IMHO if your that worried about the steering shaft you already bit off more than you can chew.

When I put a 2nd gen 2WD cab on my 1st gen 4WD frame, the only mounts that lined up were the front mounts inside the cab. The rear inside holes were close so I just egged them out. The ones that were way off were the very front at the radiator, they required some fab work.
The 3rd gens are even wider as Eric said, so more than likely even less will match up. But if you search online you'll find FSMs for both generations, and can compare the frame spec drawings to see how close things are.
IIRC the 1st gen steering shaft mated right up to the new steering column at the firewall (same spline count).
