Hey, have had my 94 for a little while now, its my dd and trail. Mild 4 inch procomp susp. some lc motor up grades but I can not find a bigger lift. anyone know of a 6 inch for this truck? Also when I run my 33's for trail the truck won't go above 65-70 even downhill in 4th. Not sure why, replaced the clutch, the valve guides seem to be bad, smokes every now and then and burns oil. Should I spend the time trying to rebuild it, or dare I say bowtie small block??? any answers would be great, love the site.

If you are still running stock gears with the 33's, you will have a loss in power.
Rebuilding or swapping engines is up to you and your wallet, and there's a lot of choices other than a SB Chevy, including the newer Toyota 2.7L 4 cyl or 3.4L V6.

what all is involved in doing the toy swaps??? do you not have to change the computer and all that??? On any engine swap it's best to get everything possible from a donor vehicle, including electronics and wiring. There are a few companies that make adapters to make swaps easier. Off Road Solutions makes a wiring harness to make the 3.4 swap easier, and Advance Adapters makes a lot of parts for a lot of different swaps. Also check Downey Offroad and Northwest Offroad. With any engine swap you will have to beef up the suspension to handle the additional weight, and a larger radiator.
