Ya a CB. I also need a new AM/FM Antenna but i dont want to put a hole into my new front fenders

I recently broke my antenna, and instead of buying one, I just plugged a used one off of something else (don't know what it came off of, just has a universal mount), and just laid it across the dash next to the windshield. Picks up signal about the same as in the stock location. As far as a CB antenna, I would use the 4' Firestick, and use a spring at the base. I used an aluminum 2-piece mount (one half of a mirror clamp mount), and bolted it to the inner bed lip, right next to the tailgate.

not sure just how relevent this is, but when my am/fm retractable antenna broke off i just took some old rabbit ears from the TV and pulled out the motor setup for the antenna then jammed the rabbit ear into the housing. my radio works fine now, but the antenna doesn't go up and down anymore.it sticks up about 8" and i can actually get out and pull the rabbit ear up if i really need.
