Does anybody know anything about toyota recalling certain model trucks due to severe rust problems? About 2 months ago I took my 89 4runner to a new mechanic for some work and he told me that I might be able to get a few grand for it because of this rust problem. Of course I never looked into it. Just yesterday while picking up materials at home depot this guy walked up to me and asked me if i knew about it, and that his buddy just got 13 grand for his.......
Has anybody ever heard of something like this?? Let me know please!!!

The buy-back is on Tacos, 95 - 00.
No one put enough pressure on Toyota when all the 80's trucks rusted away to nothing.

Not so sure, just today someone else mentioned it to me so i,m going to a toyo dealer to get facts on this. Thanks for the reply dude!

i hope they do, my frame is rusting through. I had a 86' and that frame rusted away too, i had to do a serious fabrication job on it.

well i didn't get any info yet.(still searching) and now my mechanic said he wouldn't touch my truck.
i can't seem to find any shops who do offroad stuff!
