I want to replace the front and rear gears in my 2002 2.7ltr 4cyl tacoma. I am eventually going to be turning 37 inch tires. I am not sure what ratio nor am i sure what size the ring 8"?, 7.5"? 8.4"? i would greatly appreciate it. Thx offroad

7.5" front and 8" rear. For 37" tires 5.29 or 5.71 gears would work

I thought that, but when I was on a couple of R&P sites, they said 8". So I looked a little deeper and found an article saying that it was 8.25" like you say, but "they're commonly referred to as an 8". That must be why R&P sites say it's 8"

They both measure the same in diameter apparently but the Taco is usually called an 8.25 or 8.4 and they arent compatible with the older 8" diffs.
