I own and absolutely love my 2001 Toyota 4Runner SR5. It has been in the Sand, Snow Mud and over Bald Mountain Ca on a stock suspension and motor! But every time I venture off road I get discouraged. My vehicle is equipped with a Vehicle Skid Control with traction control............ and it is killing me!!!! On the road it is a life saver but when I am off road it is a pain. When the skid control detects my tires spinning for grip, it kills my RPMs and I loose horse power........ this is bad when you are side ways on a sand dune or crawling up a steep rock face. i have tried to remove the traction control relay but that didn’t fix it. has any body else have this problem and is there any way I can easily de-select this feature when I am off roading ? Thanks !
