Me again! I spoke with one the guys and he told me they are able to get parts so cheap because CNS Auto Parts is a direct importer of parts. The parts are made in Japan but I am still one that believes "to good to be true". Their website says they are a subsidiary company of CNS Motors. Ebay gives them great ratings and they sell alot of parts. This kit is cheaper than an oil pump I can buy at AutoZone. Is there another place anyone can recommend or do they just buy there parts at the local AutoZone? Thanks.

I have a 1986 22 re engine with approx 8-10k miles on it . I have installed 3 timing chains in it since I got it . I bought it new rebuilt as a short block . I placed a new head on it and still continue to break timing chain guides . I have tried the nylon and the steel type . Both keep breaking slides. Really strange , The chain for a 84 is way too small and the 86 year chain has a little slack . I literally just installed another chain set . I have drove it approx 3k miles and it broke the guides again . There is a lot of slap wear in on the guides and the tensioner . I cannot figure out what to do . Is there something I'm missing here . Could it be an oil pressure issue at low RMP , or possible and docking issue ? I'm at a loss here . I have checked with a few mechanics about it , who still remain scratching their heads? Any ideas of anything it could be . I have a new oil pump system on it , heads were reworked , and as I said the engine I bought newly rebuilt

The late 84 and newer 4 cylinders are different from earlier ones, The height of the block and head are different, so they use different TC sets. (Probably why you say the 84 is way to small)
