hey, i got a 94 Toyota v6 3.0. i recently changed the plugs and found out the guy that had the truck before me striped the threads on one of the spark plug holes. i got the plug out, but when i tried to get the new plug in it started to get harder and harder to get in... i got real ballsy and kept tightening it until i got about half way then i stopped.. the motor still runs fine but i know that piston probably isnt firing as it should. anyway iv seen some rethread kits and plan on buying one but i dont know what size to get 10mm 12mm 14mm ect. i found this tool looks like it would work i just need to find what mm i need for my motor. heres the link www.toolsource.com/spark-plug-rethread-tool-10mm-p-92201.html?sourceid=nextag

The 94 with a 3.0 engine should be a 14mm spark plug. I would look fo a cheaper tool,I would find it hard to justify spending that kind of cash. I would also consider replacing the plug, the treads MAY have gotten messed up when the plug was installed. The torque for the plugs should be - 13 ft.lbs

If needed I would just have it heli coiled at a mechanic shop its about the same cost as that tool and Im guessin you wont be strippin to many plugs!

Just heli coil it yourself. Napa sells the kit to do it and just dip the tip of the bit in grease quite often and to about three turns then wipe off. I did it on my 4.0 xj, pretty easy job.
